4/17/08 NATIONWIDE
I am a court reporter with ten years experience doing freelance, court, hearings, arbitrations and public meetings.
Currently, I am using ProCAT software, and would love to do some scoping for other reporters on a short-term or long-term basis.
Please contact me at
cleibach@ktis.net  for turnaround time and rates.

1/15/08 NEW YORK
We're pleased and excited to announce that lipka.com has won a government contract to handle all depositions AND Grand Jury hearings in both Brooklyn and Central Islip! (Depositions will be all over NY - not just in Brooklyn and Central Islip).

As a result, our volume is going to explode for 2008 - we're going to have a ton of work and we are in immediate need of freelance court reporters to work with us on this contract as well as other work. True freelancers welcome (who only want to work a few days a week or month and continue to work with other agencies) as well as "staffers" who want a set schedule they can count on to work every day or X number of days per week with us!

Our other (non-contract) work is primarily patent and antitrust, with a ton of dirty disk and RealTime work - this contract will include depositions in all areas of litigation, at all levels - so there will be something for every skill level and every litigation-type preference! You can set your schedule and pick the type of work you want to handle.

If you're interested in hearing more, please send an email to frontoffice@lipka.com  with your contact info and we can send you all kinds of detailed information about the contract - including what being a Grand Jury reporter entails and what the work is like. (GJ hearings are not like regular hearings in court - they're much more interesting with better pages).

We look forward to hearing from you and sharing a prosperous 2008 with you!

I'm a StenoCAT 32 scopist who is experienced in depositions of all types: med/mal, Worker's Comp, hearings, bankruptcy, voir dire, and just about everything in the way of what a court reporter would dictate. I have very strong English skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a particular adeptness with punctuation and missing words. I never keep a job longer than five days, so my turnaround is excellent! My rates range from 1.00 to 1.50 per page for normal turnaround depending on the difficulty.
Please contact me at walkenwm82@aol.com , and let's work together!

9/23/07 San Diego, CA
lipka.com has just been awarded a U.S. Government Contract to handle hearings and depositions in the San Diego area.  As a result, we have an immediate need for back-up court reporters at all skill levels in San Diego.  We only seek individuals who are already residents of the area (no relocation needed).  If you already freelance with an agency in San Diego, but are looking for a little more work on days they don’t have anything for you – this is a match made in heaven.  We also give plenty of notice so you can ask to have yourself taken “off book” on a particular day, to better coordinate with your current agency and not leave them in the lurch.

Depositions will run the gamut from IP to slip and fall cases - from regular delivery to RealTime, and from un-transcribed work to 350 pages transcribed per day - so we really have something for everyone!

If you have a resume, please send it to frontoffice@lipka.com.  If not, please send us an email detailing your skills, including the following information:

1.   Your complete contact info (including email and cell phone numbers);

2.   The name of the court reporting school you attended and the year graduated (other education as well, if any);

3.   The number of words in your personal dictionary;

4.   Your un-translate rate;

5.   Your certification "letters" (CSR, RPR, CRR, MR, etc.);

6.   Any memberships (NCRA, etc.);

7.   The number of years you’ve been performing RealTime and/or Dirty Disk (if applicable);

8.   If you have any sort of government security clearances (what type);

9.   Your CAT System and the type of transcriptor you use;

10. If you have any court experience as an official or as a freelancer on assignment for the government thru another agency

We look forward to working with you!
