04/04/12 OFFICIAL COURT REPORTER OPENING

Spokane County Superior Court is accepting applications to fill the position of Official Court Reporter. As per RCW 2.32.180, requirements include – “Three years’ experience as a skilled, practical reporter, or who upon examination shall be able to report and transcribe accurately (175 wpm) of the judge’s charge or (200 wpm) of testimony each for (5) consecutive minutes.” OR, successfully pass the test as laid out in that statue. Certified Shorthand Reporter license in the state of Washington required. Registered Professional Reporter certification preferred.

Joyful Scoping Leads is consistently being contacted by court reporters for experienced and normal turnaround scopists on Case CATalyst and Eclipse. We are receiving requests on a daily or weekly basis. We have had four
requests in the last four days ranging from dailies to expedites to normal turnaround.

If you are a scopist looking for work, please consider beginning our testing process today. Because we have a company name and reputation to protect, all applicants are required to go through the testing process because otherwise we have
no way of knowing your skill level.
