This machine was purchased by me from a reporter who used it as a backup. She purchased it from another reporter.
I was a court reporter for 30 years. I used the Elan Cybra to practice for a state test until I decided to pursue another career.
The machine had leather finger pads attached, which I removed with alcohol, leaving a matte finish to the keys, but it still writes beautifully. New finger pads cost approximately $15.00.

This writer was bought new in the spring of 2006, played around with a couple times for a few minutes, then put in a closet.
Someone in the office had a problem with their writer, so they borrowed this one for two depositions.
One was roughly 110 pages and one was 50 pages approximately. Other than that, it's never been used.
This is as close to new as you can get. Includes soft sided case, power cord, audio synch kit (Martel microphone),
Stand, USB cord, Utilities disk, paper tray, battery tester.

Stenograph sells this machine for roughly $4,585. There are a couple on e-bay, one was roughly $2,650 and one was $3,100.
There is a court reporting on-line store in Florida that has this machine on sale right now for $2,995.
The usb cable and the Martel mike kit haven't even been opened. There is not an owner's manual.
I called Stenograph to try to get one, I was told go to "Support" you can download one -- they don't have any more books.
This machine is in great shape. If anyone wants pictures of it, I'd be glad to send some out.
This machine is not my machine. It is my sister's and I'm selling it for her.
